Let's go back in time, oversized chrome wheels, in-your-face bodystyling, neon lights and everything else 'bling' was running riot in the car modifying scene. A small undercurrent of tuners and car modifiers had begun to whisper about something called JDM. The philosophy behind JDM being that bodywork would be kept as toned down as possible, wheels would no longer be monstrous sizes and attention would now be focused on creating a clean car with subtle modifications and functionality being of the highest priority. Over the coming years JDM exploded the world over, becoming much more than a trend in modifiying; it became a way of life for many.

To say that last weekends Superdrift round 1 was a success would be understatement of the year! When events up and down the country were being battered with the rain and bad weather the atmosphere at Superdrift was still going strong! In all 45 drivers took part on the day which I'm sure you'll agree was a terrific turn out considering the weather and the relative infancy of the event! The rain was playing a blinder until around half two when the sun managed to escape the from behind the dark clouds, this dried the track just enough to get the tyres smoking!
